The landscape of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is characterized by agriculture: yellow flowering rape fields, lush green meadows, dairy cows or sheep on the extensive paddocks. This diversity is also reflected on the MeLa. The exhibitors present products and services ranging from plant and animal production through animal breeding to topics related to organic agriculture.
nutrition
Meat or baked goods, fruits and vegetables, fish, game, drinks or sweets from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern? The food industry of our state has that and much more to offer. In Hall 1, the industry meets to talk to consumers, inform and introduce new products. Also clubs and associations introduce themselves and are ready for questions about nutrition.

The forests and meadows of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern can boast a species-rich and free-living animal and plant world. So it is not surprising that our state is popular with hunters and hunting enthusiasts. Likewise exhibitors with hunting clothing and equipment or revier equipment present themselves at the MeLa. Traditionally, the State Hunting Association also informs about its work from the sustainable use and regulation of the wild population to nature conservation.
fishing industry
With about 2,000 kilometers of Baltic Sea coast and more than 2,000 lakes in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the fishing and fishing industry plays a major role. On all days of the fair, z. Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania has the second-lowest share of forests in comparison to the other German federal states - for which it shines in its diversity. In order to ensure sustainability in our forests, 29 forest offices in the country look after issues such as environmental services, firewood, forestry pastures or the education and information of small and large forest visitors. On the MeLa as varied as the harvest of wood from forestry and care to forestry machinery is informed.

Whether private gardens, public or commercial green spaces: The magnificently landscaped areas serve us for recreation, for dreaming and for staying. Since new ideas to make a garden sprout up as quickly as some plants, the MeLa also devotes an exhibition area to this profession. The exhibitors cover various areas: You can see fruits, vegetables, special crops, woody plants or garden technology and equipment, as well as garden and greenhouses and garden accessories.
